Accessible Vehicle Benefits You May be Eligible For:
- The Veterans’ Administration offers a one-time automobile grant of $11,000. If you haven’t used it yet, you can apply it towards a wheelchair accessible van. In addition, you may be eligible for approximately $3,000 reimbursement for the cost of the vehicle’s automatic transmission, power steering, power windows, and air conditioning. A complete detailed reimbursement schedule is available through the VA.
- 100% Service Connected Veterans are eligible for two complete van conversions every four years or one every two years.
- A 100% Service Connected Veteran who trades his or her wheelchair van in every two years typically has little or no out-of-pocket expense compared to waiting 3 or 4 years.
- The VA will allow an eligible veteran to purchase a pre-owned handicap accessible van using their depreciation schedule for reimbursement.

You are eligible for a free routine maintenance check on your mobility equipment up to 3 times per year. This routine maintenance includes inspection, adjustment, and any lubrication required to keep your equipment in top operating condition. Any required repairs or replacement parts not covered by the free maintenance will be detailed in a written quote.
